About The Artist
Seyda Alkin is a contemporary painter born in Turkey, having lived and worked in the Netherlands, and now based in the United Kingdom.
Her practice focuses on figurative and interior-based painting, using acrylic and mixed media to explore themes of memory, presence, and emotional residue. Working with reduced palettes and softened forms, Seyda often blurs the line between the physical and the remembered, allowing spaces and bodies to function as psychological landscapes rather than fixed representations.
Her work has recently begun to be exhibited internationally, including shows in London, Edinburgh, and Milan. She is currently developing her practice with an intention to pursue a professional artistic career alongside ongoing exhibitions and open-call submissions.
